Stone Panels – The Better Way To Use Stone

Posted on May 30, 2013

OK, we all have the chance to either work with stone or admire a building that incorporated some nice stone accents. If the job is done correctly you will see a nice flow and a random pattern of the stones. If the job is done poorly you will probably notice so big gaps and the horizontal line that are not, horizontal. You can easily find jobs that used stone panels of either low quality or that are not easy to install. This is usually the reasons why you see images like this one.

Low quality stone panels

Bad stone panels' application

Yes, because of the current state of our economy we may focus on the cost of the materials rather than the way it will look at the end. This usually leads to the same amount of work or money paid for labor but with a result that we will never like. Although our stone panels may seem to have a similar cost per square foot of other materials, what sets them apart is that to accomplish the same quality job with real stone it will cost a fortune in installation. Using stone panels you add the professional and gorgeous look of stone in minutes. The parts will line up and interlock perfectly and in areas where you need to cut-to-fit you are able to do so in a fraction of the time needed for other materials.

Not having these awful gaps also helps to preserve the material and the look for a longer time. When low grade stone panels are used and gaps are the result, water can infiltrate and freeze and cause the product to detach from the wall and break.

Take your time to consider that cheap-quality materials sometimes are not the best thing for you.

A Great Time To Use Stone Panels

Posted on March 29, 2013

Most Americas are witnessing a great improvement in the housing market. We cannot avoid hearing about it all over the news.

A significant number of homeowners, whether they were "under water" or owning their property, are realizing that with the home prices going up it is now time to do some renovation and put the home up for sale.
On the same token investors and first-home buyers want to take advantage of the very low mortgage rates and purchase a property before the prices reach new highs.

From many surveys, an average of 54% of homeowners say this is a good time to remodel.

Thanks to this reality we are now as busy as ever selling our stone panels. These panels are incredibly easy to install that have become a staple for anyone trying to quickly renovate and remodel a home.
This new economical trend is benefiting different sectors of the US population so investing in this material is simply a matter of doing what's best for a lot of people.

As usual we recommend getting some sample that ship the same day so that before any purchase every customer has the chance to appreciate the quality of stone panels and avoid confusion in the stone colors shown over a monitor.

The vast majority of project involve either a facade makeover or and accent wall. Either way stone panels cannot be beat when it comes to overall cost of the project and for allowing virtually anyone to install them without the use of a mason or a contractor.

Stone panels are waterproof and UV resistant and can be applied to any surface in just minutes. The stone is very realistic and none can really tell the difference from real stone unless they knock on the panel itself.

Before leaving you we want to show you our newest stone color panel:

Antico Elements has been in the remodeling business for decades so we know very well how homeowners approach a remodeling project. Usually there is one person who takes care of the construction and another will worry that the project will never be completed.

This is we are very product to offer faux stone panels that are incredibly easily to install and the take very little time.

The customer below was worried about having to remove the exiting brick which were aesthetically outdated and did not match the rest of the decor in the room. When we explained that our faux stone panels can be directly installed over the existing brick or any other surface the homeowner was pleasantly surprised.

Before faux stone panels      After faux stone panels

As long as the surface on which you want to install the faux stone panels is clean and free of dust and oily substance you can simply use some inexpensive construction adhesive to install the stone panels. In this case we recommend the use of some masonry screws ( some are called Tapcons and are usually blue ). To cover the screw heads some caulk can be used and then painted with our touch-up kits to completely conceal the use of screws.
