How to easily reface a fireplace with faux stone panels.

Posted on May 12, 2012

Antico Elements has been in the remodeling business for decades so we know very well how homeowners approach a remodeling project. Usually, there is one person who takes care of the construction and another will worry that the project will never be completed.

This is why we offer faux stone panels that are incredibly easy to install and they take very little time.

The customer below was worried about having to remove the existing brick which was aesthetically outdated and did not match the rest of the decor in the room. When we explained that our faux stone panels can be directly installed over the existing brick or any other surface the homeowner was pleasantly surprised.

Before faux stone panels      After faux stone panels

As long as the surface on which you want to install the faux stone panels is clean and free of dust and oily substance you can simply use some inexpensive construction adhesive to install the stone panels. In this case, we recommend the use of some masonry screws ( some are called Tapcons and are usually blue ). To cover the screw heads some caulk can be used and then painted with our touch-up kits to completely conceal the use of screws.
